Samsung AC Adapter AKA Battery Charger? Or Not?

I just bought a Samsung es55 digital camera and I've been browsing on the web to see if I was able to charge its lithium ion rechargeable battery with the AC adapter that it was included with. Some "sources" claim that Samsung's are capable of doing so via ac adapter and even connecting it to a pc via usb cable. However, many people say that ac adapters cannot be used as a battery charger ..

Anyway, I tried charging it with the adapter and the arrow on it was red .. and after 2 hrs it turned green. Does that mean it charged? :S

(PS. No sufficient information on charging was found in the instruction manual)

When I said there was no info in the instruction manual, I was referring to the "Quick Start Guide." How stupid am I for not knowing that there is a more elaborated manual -_-"
