I have several external usb hard drives and would like to combine into one PC.?

I have several Western Digital MyBook 500GB and 1TB external hard drives. I would like to open up all of these guys and stick the drives into a single computer case. What computer case should I use and which motherboard should I use? I have an extra copy of windows, so even a bare bones system would work for me. Links and thoughts greatly appreciated.

I had a maxtor one touch that I had connected to my PC to back up my drives to but unfortunately windows crashed causing corruption of data on my backup drive as well as my main drive. What I decided to do was to get an old computer out of the loft 1gz processor, about 300mb ram and I installed ubuntu with this drive formatted linux flavour and have it connected to my network as a file server. It's great. Ubuntu is really stable and the hard-drive is allegedly incorruptible (so far, so good) This has provided me with a very stable fileserver and I use Uranium to back up the drives on my network.
