the item is a blackberry and the title is:

and others have titles such as
MINT IN BOX Blackberry 8130 Pearl Verizon GPS PINK
does this mean that hey are locked onto a network?
please help me because i dont want to buy a locked phone because i am in australia and these are all from america so it would be impossible to unlock it!

yep they are locked to the Verizon network .. you can call them to get them unlocked.
BUT .. they are CDMA phones .. what that means is they do not take a sim card like a GSM phone and you will not be able to use them with most carriers overseas.
